Go Back to Why I hired You
December 25, 2021DREAM: I was at work and was apologizing to my boss about mistakes that I made. My boss acknowledged the mistakes, but he seemed to think he could overcome them. As for me, he calmly said: "Think back to why I first hired you." When I thought about it, the mistakes made were in conjunction with other offices, and beyond the purview of my expertise. I was like, “Oh.”REFLECTION: After this dream, it dawned on me that it was Christmas and that this was my Christmas gift from our Lord. The phrase, “Go back to the beginning,” kept playing through my mind. I am very imperfect, but God can overcome any of my shortcomings. He does not need me to be perfect in order to accomplish His will through me. He wants me to accept and be at peace with what has happened in my little life since my Spiritual Marriage to Him in 1998. He’s saying move forward from the past, but go back to the beginning. He wants me to go back to my understanding at that time: Our Lord talks to his humanity in dreams, and he wants his people to know this fact and pay attention to this fact. As many times as it seemed silly, or my efforts seemed fruitless over the years, this knowledge has remained ingrained in my heart.
DATE?I can’t remember the exact date or even the dream at this moment, but I do remember that my reflection was about how our Lord wants us to understand that the Holy Spirit works in our lives in a very personal way, even if we do not recognize him. Again, I come to dreams.
January 5, 2022DREAM: I was in a room with two women that I recognized. REFLECTON: The significance of these two women is that we have had conversations about dreams, and they are open to believing that our Lord talks to us in dreams. I feel like our Lord is giving his approval of my being more open with people about my understanding of dreams, paying attention to dreams, and drawing spiritual reflection and growth through dreams.

I was invited to give input for the direction to go in a prayer group.
January 14, 2022DREAM: I was walking across some ice covering a large body of water. The ice cracked apart and I hopped from tiny island of ice to another. I came to a place where people were swimming in the freezing water. I joined them in the water for a bit, but then I got out and started off on my own. The people called to me asking if I was going to come back in? I said I want to warm up, and I motioned my head in invitation for them to follow me if they wanted.REFLECTION: What immediately came to my mind was that Our Lord spent time with sinners (humanity), but he would go off on his own to refresh his own soul, to experience God, without distractions, in the way that he was trying to teach his people how to experience God. We are to follow our Lord’s example. We are to share our gifts with others, but always to nurture ourselves through our gifts, too. One of my greatest gifts is dreams. Our Lord is giving his approval for me to break the ice, so to speak, and open the conversation about dreams. The invitation is there. Whether or not anyone wants to follow and “warm” up to paying attention to dreams is not my responsibility.
January 14, 2022I spoke to Father about my understanding that dreams are a form of mysticism. Our Lord wants me to share that he speaks to all of us through dreams. The reason we all dream multiple times each night, although we may not remember them, is because it is the Holy Spirit nurturing our souls. No matter what spiritual stage we are at, if we have abandoned ourselves to God and love him with our whole hearts, or if we go back and forth in our love for him, or if we don’t believe in God, or even if we hate God, no one can exist without God. One of the ways God nurture’s the existence of our souls is through dreams as we remain passive in our sleep. I feel like the invitation from the prayer group is a concrete verification of what my dreams are telling me. Our Lord wants me to share that he speaks to everyone through dreams, and he wants us to pay attention to our dreams to help us grow in spiritual closeness to him. My concern is that I work in a Church office. Father agreed that there may be blow back and some people will mumble that I am crazy, but he has given his blessing.
January 15, 2022DREAM: I opened the door to my vehicle and I saw a work report on the driver seat. I opened an outside compartment on the bottom of the vehicle (like a luggage storage area on a bus), and the compartment was stuffed full of reports.REFLECTION: I come back to my Christmas message: “Think back to why I first hired you.” My true job given to me by our Lord. The job of dreams. Is it the right time, now, finally, after 20 some odd years? Maybe. I only know that the mystical and the physical seem to be saying: “break the ice.”
